Best 5 Star and 4 Star Hotels in Moscow, Russia

Author: waytorussia (on 21 Feb 2018)
Desperately trying to be the capital of chic, Moscow has perhaps the highest ratio of 5-star hotels per square meter.
Most of the rooms are overpriced for what you get, but here we list some of the better options that offer a good value for price. Of course, you're better off booking your room at corporate rates, but sometimes you can also find cheaper offers over the Internet as well.

At Aquamarine Hotel (which is in fact a 4-star hotel but too good to miss because of its great price/location) double rooms start at €90 per night, have nice but simple interior of a standard business hotel, quiet neighborhood. It has good connection to Domodedovo airport plus is very close to charming Kitai Gorod area.

Golden Apple Hotel has 5 stars and is probably the best hotel in Moscow. It's a boutique hotel designed for the true hedonists who like to have all comfort they can get, whether it is 24-hours sauna or an exquisite dining option. The location is also great – right next to Tverskaya street and Pushkinskaya square. The only problem is that sometimes rooms can be very expensive during the week, so it's better to book through the internet for the weekend only.

Very similar to Golden Apple Hotel is Mamaison All-Suites Spa Hotel on Pokrovka street, which offers luxury 5 star accommodations and a range of spa services. Newly renovated, this hotel is a very good pick.

Moscow Hilton Leningradskaya hotel offers quite a unique experience of living in an amazing historical building – Stalin’s skyscraper. Built in 1954, Hilton Leningradskaya was meant to be the finest hotel in USSR. It follows the Soviet chic aesthetic, while being a modern 5-stars hotel. The location is central, right next to the Trans-Siberian train station, but it also can be a bit too hectic and dodgy at night.

Maybe the cheapest in the category, Hotel Elegant offers spacious rooms (around 70) and a very good service.
