Kazan Cathedral

During the worship service they cover the floor with the fresh hay, light up the candles and incenses, and sing beautiful orthodox prayers. The touching tenderness of this whole experience contrasts starkly with the chaotic energy flow of the outside, providing a very relieving and somewhat magical break from the city hassle.
Red Square, on the corner between GUM store and History Museum. Open 8.00 to 19.00.
