VFS Russian Visa Application Center in London, UK

If you're registered in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you need to apply for your Russian visa in London at VFS (the Russian Visa Application Center), not the Russian consulate. For that you need to get a visa invitation letter first, and then fill out an online application on Russian ministry of foreign affairs (MID) website. Then print out that application, and bring it along with the other documents to the Russain visa to the VFS (visa application center). They will process it for you and you'll be able to pick it up there later.

Passport Collection: 16.00 - 17:30

Visa Processing Times and Fees:

The standard visa processing time is up to 20 working days and it costs £63 (the consulate fees) plus £38.40 (the service fee of the visa agency you cannot avoid) for a single-entry tourist visa. 

The express visa processing time is only 3 days, but it costs £125 (the consulate fees) plus £45.60 (the service fee) for a single-entry visa.

If you are applying for a multiple-entry business visa the service fee stays the same, but the consulate fee is £188 for the standard processing and £376 for the express 3-day processing.
