Does my tourist visa need to registered at each accommodation i stay at?

I'm planning to use AirBnB when I visit Moscow and St Petersburg.
As i understand things, my host in Moscow (my first stop) will have to register my visa. When I move to St Petersburg will my second AirBnB host have to register my visa again?

Your visa need to be registered in any city where you're staying for longer than 7 working days. But as you understand if the first accommodation registers your visa for the whole period of your stay, then you're kind of registered for the whole duration of your trip.

Regarding your AirBnB hosts - it's easy for them to register your visa but they'll have to go to the post office. Not everybody will want to do that. So if they refuse (even though they are obliged to do it by the law), you can always go through the company that issued your visa support because it is actually them who will have the most troubles if you don't register your visa, not your host.
