Will my visa application get rejected if I am self-employed?

+1 vote
I am studing the Russian language and would like to visit, possibly multiple times.  I work on my laptop, the application asks for your employer information.  Will my 30 days or 36 month visa application get rejected because I am self-employed?
Can you also advise me on medical insurance?  I am healthy and don't expect to receive medical care.
Thank you

No it won't get rejected, no worries. You have to get medical insurance though, otherwise they won't give you the visa. To get it: http://waytorussia.net/Services/Travel-Insurance-Russia.html
