Can I use the Bar and Restaurant car from 3rd class

Hi All,

I want to travel 3rd class on the trans Siberian express from Moscow to Beijing.

If I do this will I have access to the bar and food carriages? If so, how much is food and beer? If I sit and eat and drink all day can I sit in these areas and look outside as much as I like or are they only open at specific times?

Yes, sure you can! The food is about €5 per meal, €1 per beer. You can also buy food outside at the stations from the people who sell their home-made stuff — especially good if you travel the Trans-Siberian!
