$657. Buffalo. Chicago. New York. Warsaw. Moscow.
http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=fexp&flag=q&city1=buffalo%2C+ny&citd1=svo&date1=1/11/2008&time1=362&cAdu=1&cSen=&cChi=&cInf=&infs=2&tktt=&trpt=1&ecrc=&eccn=&qryt=8&load=1&airp1=&dair1=&rdct=1&rfrr=-429&&zz=1199659384970&

I've taken LOT from Chicago to Moscow several times - flights aren't always on time, but it's a great deal price-wise and there are always flights from Warsaw to Moscow in case you miss the connection.

You could probably drive to JFK or take the train or whatever from Buffalo and circumvent flying from Buffalo to Chicago to JFK.

I found that flights to Russia are cheapest if you fly there and back on tuesday or saturday. I would recommend going to Orbitz.com and taking some time to mess around with the days you want to leave and return. You'll find that by changing your flight by one day either leave or return can changes the cost dramatically. I have spent hours trying to plan a flight to SP and I still am.

The other reason I like Orbitz is because they tell you the total price, taxes included. Most other travel site hide that until you check out. Im not sure about Expedia. Then again I haven't personally booked a flight, so maybe they have other hidden costs, but I dont believe so.

Transaero.ru- Fly out of Toronto for cheap. You save also because it lands in Domendovo, thus no expensive Cab ride

Your best bet is JetBlue from Buffalo to JFK, and AeroFlot from JFK to Sheremetyevo. Or, like another poster said, just drive to JFK.

You do not have to take a taxi from Domodovo, so that you save approximately 100$. You have to take that in consideration when purchse a ticket.
One plan is to fly to Frankfurt and then use s7.ru to fly to Moscow.
