|
|
After selecting a train and proceeding to 'checkout' there are options for which service to go through (intergroup, express to russia, etc). The first option is: Any Train Station in Russia.
If I select that option, I understand that I won't actually purchase the ticket at that point, but will this actually reserve the ticket for me guaranteeing that when I'm in Russia I will be able to buy the ticket without worrying about the train being sold out??
I'm trying to understand why I should select any of the services that will mark up the price (up to 60% in some cases!!) if I can just select the 'any train station in russia' option to reserve the ticket.
Any clarification?
Thanks in advance!

since nobody seems to be active of the forum moderators, im gonna reply with my very limited knowledge in this area
if you reserve the ticket at the train station, you have to pick it up there when you get there. Not speaking russian is a problem, not to mention queuing. Alternatively, you can buy the ticket through an agency.. it is more expensive, but you can get the train ticket mailed to your mailbox at home, in advance |

Ya thanks, that's what it writes on the webpage. I'm wondering if the ticket is guaranteed to be reserved. I'm not worried about waiting in line or communicating. I just don't want to show up and not have a reserved ticket to purchase.
Has anyone done it this way instead of going through an agency? I'd be curious to hear any first hand experiences. |
