Sorry, may be I have chosen the wrong topic to post my suggestion. First of all, this is a russian swearing course. The site it is situated on is niniff.com
But this course is very peculiar. To tell the truth it was made with my help. I am the person that reads English equivalents.
But I don't want to sound it like a spam or a stupid advertisement. That is why I decided to post this info here and not to spam any other sites or forums which are not related to the topic of language. I'm a linguist myself. I teach English at the University. The idea of making this course has appeared after the survey among my students. Though they are Russian, but they are very much interested in English slang and swearing words for different reasons. And because of that I thought that it could be interesting for people studying Russian to get acquainted with such kind of phrases. Because you won't met them in any kind of books or learning literature. This course is not free, because not I promised to pay to the person who reads Russian swearings. And he is a former prisoner. So, I have to give him money. But it is not expensive at all.

Wow... Those are some pretty harsh phrases... Not so sure how good it is to know those considering Im not sure how offensive some of them would be to a Russian. Don't want to accidentally say something out of context and get in a fight for no reason.

They're harsh but not pretty.
I would give serious consideration to mastering the rest of the language before I went throwing some of these about ad hoc. |
