privjet!

I am travelling to Russia this summer on a volunteering project. Most likely the meeting point will be Moscow... When I was trying to figure out the train transportation from Prague, the shortest route seems to be via Warszawa (about 2000 Km and 29 - 33 hours), but the train goes through Belarus.
when going through Kyiv it's about 2200 kilometers and 35 hours...

but does the train go through Belarus? The lady on the rail station was very confused by my question and was unable to answer it...

anybody travelled the same route?

Train 068 Warszaw-Kovel-Kiev does not go thru Belarus. Just check the schedule ( and stations ) - 'Brest' somewhere in the middle means it visits Belarus, otherwise not. (ref - http://parovoz.com/maps/supermap/supermap-a.php?X=1&Y=4&LANG=ru#MAP )
Direct trains Warszaw-Moscow always go through Minsk.
