Hi!

The online application form for a visa from the Russian Embassy in London is driving me crazy. Does anyone know what I should do about the following issues?

In the email from the tourist group which sent the invitation I was advised us to write the following (I've omitted the ref no!:

Russian department or organizations to be visited: Write nothing (leave this empty).

Index and name of tourist group: 'OOO Peresvet Tour, ref. xxxx'.

Itinerary/Route of journey (write ONLY the following towns. This does not limit where you can actually travel in Russia. The route of your journey IS NOT listed on the visa itself):

1. Moscow

However, the visa form says under Russian organisation to be visited tourists should write the name and ref no of the tourist organisation. Is that Peresvet Tour, xxxx?

Also, their online form will not let me only input one destination-it insists I fill all three boxes! Should I put Moscow, Moscow, Moscow?

It also does not seem to ask for the index of the tourist group-should I omit the OOO before "Peresvet Tour"?

Thank you for your help

Take a deep breath, you seem to be nervous for no reason. Getting a tourist visa for russia is really no problem. Getting a visa to European countries, UK or USA is much more difficult, for Russians.
Just write as they told you. The towns to be visited don"t matter. You can write Saint-Petersburg and Nizhniy Novgorod for example if you don't want to write Moscow 3 times. Just don't write the name of 3 military cities and they won't care.

Your last question is intriguing. What index are you talking about? OOO is the equivalent of the English Ltd. So you can write "Peresvet Tour, Ltd" if you like.

Just note that the information you put on the form needs to match the invitation. If there is only Moscow on the invitation then don't add other cities. Write Moscow 3 times if that's the only way it will work.

And, yes, write the name and Ref No. of the tourist agency where the application form asks you to. You can enter or omit the "OOO" as you please.

Yes. It's important.

It doesn't matter what cities are on your invitation - you can put down anything when you apply for the invitation. But when you apply for your visa you make sure the information on your invitation and on your application form are exactly the same.

Agreed, match what's on your invitation is most important. The main thing to consider is that everything matches with your other papers such as invitation. There is nothing to worry about. And if all you are going to visit is Moscow Moscow, Moscow. Then put that down.
