| Hi all, not been on here in a while. Anyway, I'm thinking of applying for a job in Kazakhstan. I know it's an independant state now but has anyone been there? I don't know exactly where apart from on the Caspian Sea. I just want a general picture of peoples experience of the locals, the food, cost of living, is it a bad idea to buy a car and drive, getting around etc... Thanks in advance |

In central Asia, it"s very simple. you have the choice between two work categories... You can work in oil sector or in drug sector. drug is produced in Afghanistan and passes across central Asia towards Europe.

| Thanks, not sure where yet. It is in the IT sector for the oil industry. That was quite funny about the drug industry, not really my "line" of expetise !! |
