Hiya

Me and my boyfriend are planning a trans mongolian trip (st petes - moscow) around December/January. Its part of a few months long trip we are planning, and we are wanting to get a rough idea of how much this section is going to cost us. I have seen certain trips, pre organised, for around £2,000, but we are thinking of just doing it alone.

If we were to have about 5 stop offs along the way, could anyone give me a ball park figure? Would be much appreciated. I have looked around and even have read a book on it but still seem abit confuzzled when it comes to how much!

Right, not meaning to advertise another site but there is a very easy routeplanner on the real russia site.. a trip with two stops came to about £610 per person.

I'm not sure if way to russia offers a similar service and would be very interested in price comparing if they do.

Stops were in irkutsk and ulanbataar (sp?)

I didn't realise quite how much it all cost.... And that is just the train with no accommodation or food! But Im sure it will still be more adventurous than a flight to China!
