I'm going Norway - Asia using Aeroflot. At Sheremetyevo I will have to wait about 8 hours for my connecting flights.

What are my chances for:
1) Get a travel visa? As I've understood it's the cheapest, and it do not require any invitation or registration. Some place I did read that it was only possible to get a transit visa if it's necessary to do the journey. In this case it's not, as I'm already at the airport..
2) Get time to see Moscow. The new train seems fast, but will it take hours to get through custom and security in and out of the airport?

IMHO, it is not worth it.
You will have to get a visa and get into town and see about two buildings and go back just in case they hit a paranoid moment.
One time I went to LA via Moscow and it took me 4 hours to get on the plane, because they inspected every piece of luggage of every passager.

I know that I will need a visa, that's what I'm asking about. I will not bring any luggage in or out of the airport, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Do anyone know anything about tranist visas? Even if it's in their opinion isn't worth going to Mosocw Smile
