Hi,

Seversk is a closed city, about 12 km from Tomsk. Does anyone know how, where you can get the propiska to enter Seversk?
On wikipedia they say you can get it at KPP (check-points) but you need a good reason to enter. What could it be?

Hi,
This is an old post, but there was no reply, so there we go.

The only way to enter Seversk is to be invited by a Russian authority, or to have residence in the city (as if you were born there, or you moved there because you work in the city). You cannot obtain a permit otherwise. I guess if you know the right person, everything is possible...

I had a girlfriend who lived there (we are still friend) and even Russian people cannot enter if they have no business purpose.
Russian people who live or work have a special permit to enter the city.

These rules don't seem to change. I wanted to watch an ice hockey game in Seversk. Some people told you can get a permit if you have a game ticket but it doesn't seem to be true.
