Native Russian speakers (as far as I know) practically never write print-style (block) letters by hand, but if you write in block letters, it is no problem for anyone to read. I think people will understand that a Russian student doesn't know handwriting.

But if you are a serious student, wanting to learn Russian deeply, it is highly recommended to learn normal (cursive) Russian handwriting. I bought a small book for learning Russian handwriting, but I haven't studied yet!

This web site:

http://icecube.berkeley.edu/~dima/stuff/rus/

is a nice Russian-English dictionary that has many computer science terms.

What are you talking about? IMHO, cyrillic handwritten characters are almost same as latin handwritten characters. There are many letters which have similar writing. You should not have problems at all. I could be wrong but just compare them. Send me a personal message with your e-mail and I will send you a scan of typical russian handwriting.[/img]
