Hiya!
Wow - great forum - this is my first ever post...
Does anyone know if there's a train or bus route from Murmansk into Northern Finland (Lapland)?
I've looked everywhere, but I can't find a route...

Yes, there's a bus route operated by the Finnish company GoldLine (or FinnBus) and Russian Murmanskautotrans, their website is http://www.goldline.fi/ there's an English version and contacts in Finland. The contacts of Murmanskautotrans in Murmansk are +7 (8152) 421-154 (Russian only).
The schedule can be found at http://www.koivistonauto.fi/aikataulut_kauko/aikataulu_132.html
The bus goes Monday to Friday from Murmansk (Russia) at 8.30am, through Ivalo (Findland, north) and to Rovaniemi (arriving at 20.35).
The price is about 30-50 EUR for one-way trip.
Also, on Monday and Thursday there's a bus departing Murmansk at 6.00am going through Kandalaksha (the Russian border) at 10.10am and arriving to Kemiyarvi (Finland) at 14.30.
Can I ask you if you go there and get some other information to post it here, so that other travelers can use it? Thanks! _________________

I'll certainly try - its not me that's doing the travelling, but a friend from the UK who's doing a circuitous exploration of Russia and Finland. But, I'll try and get him to drag down some info, if he uses the route.
Thanks heaps,
