That's a crazy statement for someone to say. Avoid a place because it's expensive. If that's the case then tourists should avoid places like London, Paris, Rome, and Madrid then also right? All those places are quite expensive but that doesn't stop millions of people from visiting them every year. Don't ever let other people tell you not to go someplace your interested in because they had a bad experience, what was bad for somebody else might be great for you. I personally heard the same kind of things when I went to Europe in 2005 and I had the time of my life, don't believe it until you see it for yourself. Moscow has so many different historical buildings you can see, it's got all those bars and restaurants, you won't run out of things to see.

I'm sorry, but I can't find that crazy statement of avoiding Moscow. I think everyone who's interested should visit Moscow.

But in answer to Is Moscow overpriced for visiters and tourists? YES IT IS

A few people have said on this site that i should avoid Moscow, and concentrate on st. pete, & other places because Moscow is overpriced.
Please explain, is it food, clubs, lodging.
And expensive compared to what.
I would appreciate any & all input Rolling Eyes

Definately accomadation first of all, and that applies to all of Russia. Food is the next thing. But the biggest problem is the rate of inflation, and as we spoke it has gone up 2%.
