I know that supply ships run up the Yennisey in the summer from Krasnoyarsk to Dudinka. Locals can ride them too (they have sleeping quarters and a cafeteria). Does anyone know how often they run in June and how long the journey takes? Thanks could you please email any info. to jjoneseverest@yahoo.com.

All,
There are 6 regular ferries up the Yenisei to Dudinka and the Luxo Liner Anton Chekhov.
The 6 ferries run from 12.06.2003 until 03.10.2003, roughly every 2-3 days from the River Station (Rechnoi Vokzal). The ferries names are :
V. Chkalov, A. Matrasov, Lermontov, Godenko, Ippolotov-Ivanov and Prokoforev.

For interests sake, here's the prices on the Anton Chekhov.
1st Class - 3818 Rub (126 US)
2nd Class - 2576 Rub (85 US)
3rd - without oars - 2071 Rub (69 US)
3rd - with oars - 1578 Rub (52 US)

ALL PRICES ARE ONE WAY!!!

All,
I have a sneaking suspicion that the girl at the counter of Rechoi Vokzal may have in fact given me ferry prices, rather than Anton Chekov prices......I'll check and get back to the board if I am hideously wrong.......
