Hello all, i'm not really too sure where to start, so I guess I'll jump right in....
I bought myself a painting in either Moscow or St.Petersburgh while I was on a trip there in '92 & I'm trying to find some more information about it.
I don't really know where to go for info, but I stumbled across this site & thought it may be a good place to start.
The picture is of 3 trees, in varying stages of growth, with what appear to be apples in what appear to be hands. The trees, as they grow, seem to lose some/all of their foliage as they create the apple.
It really is a stupendous picece of art & I was fascinated by it the very first time I saw it.
The only real information I can gleam from it is that it is titled 'Autumn' and it has the date 1992 on the rear. There is also some writing in Russian, but I'm unable to make any sense of it.
I do know that this is a long-shot, but I would very much appreciate any help/pointers from anyone that may be able to help.
Thank-you in advance, Jeremy.
ps, I have digital images available, but couldn't work out how to post them here.[/img] |
