| I assume it's cheapest to use buses. I'm also planning a trip to St.Petersburg or Moscow in the autumn with my boyfriend and possibly another couple, and trying to make it as cheap as possible. |

Hello. Yeah my boyfriend looked at all our options for this route and just found the numbers getting higher and higher....so we kinda changed our plans and are now going to Mongolia the first week of October...a lot cheaper. We will be in Moscow for a night on the way back (only 2 hours there) but even that is going to cost us, for 1 night including visas and invitation letters, 1/3 of what we are paying for Mongolia....so we do hope to go back to Russia for a much longer period of time, but I think we'll have to save well in advance.
When are you guys going and for how long? |

| The cheapest way to Estonia from Tallinn is by bus. Eurolines has comfortable buses that depart from the Baltisky vokzal several times a day. Tickets are about 11 USD one way. I used them last year and it was fine and they were right on time, even arrived 30 min. early in Tallinn. Quick border checks at Ivangorod and Narva. Buy the tickets at the Baltisky Vokzal Eurolines office outside and down a small street from the station. Don't know the cheapest way to SPB from Helsinki. Bus probably. I'm taking the train from Helsinki to SPB in August and it costs about 45 USD one way. |
