I will be moving to SPb for 7 months in August, I have been there a few times but no more than a week at a time. I'm excited about it but I'm also thinking that I will miss some of the things I'm used to in the USA.
Is there any place I can go to speak English when I'm sick of fumbling around with my poor Russian skills? I know many people speak English there, but I was hoping there might be a bar or club that I could easily find others that do.
I have 3 cars in the USA and when I go there nothing, that will take some getting used to. I'm wondering if there are any proformance tuning car shops or anything that I can at least go look at when I start to get annoyed with the subway.
Vodka is nice, but nothing beats a Kentucky Bourbon. I've seen a few bottles of Jack Daniels for sale at huge prices, like 1500r, is there where I can get american whiskey for a reasonable price? Or am I going to have to survive on what I can bring? hehe
Any advise anyone can give me about things to do and what not I would greatly appreciate it. |

Moving is hard thing. There are some places in St-Petersburg which you can feel almost as at home. Some bars where all foreign visitors and you can communicate native language. Bars like Red Lion, and one on Milionnaya, who's owner is American lady. Or you can try to visit disco at American Consulate, for me boring, but english-speaking athmoshere.
