| Do you think this is an impartial forum to be asking this question? Get real, Moscow will get 90% of the votes on a pro-Russian forum. |

I'd prefer the games to be in a new place. Preferably somewhere in Africa. Given these options, I would vote for either New York, Madrid or Moscow:
New York or Madrid because the games were never there, as opposed to the other candidate cities :S
Moscow or Madrid, because the games were only once in Russia or Spain, as opposed to the other countries listed :S
So... my choice should be Madrid? |

| I doubt if there is a city in Africa with enough money to put on the Olympics. How about Rio De Janeiro? I don't think they have ever hosted it. |

It's not merely a matter of "where they should be." The host city has to be able to demonstrate that it possesses the necessary infrastructure to handle the games, and be a positive climate for visitors and athletes alike.
With the current wave of jingoism and xenophobia still strongly rooted in America, I think New York is right out. It's not like the US hasn't hosted it enough already.
Obviously I voted for Moscow because I'd like to be there for the games, although I don't think either London or Madrid are poor choices. Russia hasn't hosted an olympic event for 25 years (1980), has it? To me, that's another reason why they should, and it can do nothing but give the Moscow economy a temporary boost.
Overall, I think NYC is the only poor choice in the list. |

I agree with Sputnik; it should be in a developing country for a change and there are cities there that could potentially support it like Johanesburg, Nairobi, Pretoria, Cairo, Rio, or Buenos Aires. Thats why I would like it in Moscow. It'll show the world that Russia isn't the screwed up or screwed over country that its percieved to be and it can show that developing countries are welcome too.
El-Casey is right, its been held in North America (especially recently) too many times, and the political and social climate here isn't ready for it. London has had it twice already and ditto for Paris. If not Moscow, then Madrid. |

My vote is for Buenos Aires, avery cool city! i.e. the Paris of South America!
Gotta love ya Polska. I think NY needs a new advertising campaign with yours truly on the big screen at Times Square etc. Polska girl loves New York!!! Your pic would certaintly draw more tourism! And if they only knew you, they could not hold back from visiting NYC! i SHOULD HAVE BEEN A BUSINESS MAJOR. |

Better not let Vic hear you say that.My God, I'm amassing boyfriends on here.
I'm kinda considering traveling abroad this summer, either to Moscow, St.Petersburg, Paris or to my favorite place, Spain. We'll see how things turn out. |

Nice to have so many options. For a 17 year old, you sure have been around! Vic, please leave our Polska alone, after all you are much older, cynical and way too sexist for such a beautiful and free spirited American/ Polish young woman. I have good instincts and I say Comrade is the man! |

I don't want to reveal anything personal here but Vic seems quite allright. But I've been mistaken about these things before.
Funny how the guys seem to have nothing to say about this. But one's asleep and the other's competing over the continental USA. |

She's Mine! I'll get her tickets if its in Moscow
Btw, there is no way that NYC can get it because the 2010 Olympics are in Vancouver, which happens to be on the same continent as NYC. Its an unwritten rule to NEVER pick two cities in a row on the same continent, it has to rotate.
