Hi Folks
Has anyone any experience of staying in Ulaan Ude. Any advice on a good reasonably priced place to stay and/or to eat.

| It´s expensive but it´s nice place to visit. There´s no really anything special to see but its people. It´s a mixture of mongolian and russian people and there´s no many tourist, what is good. Ulan Ude´s people enjoy a lot drinking |

expensive? like moscow expensive? its in provincia ! about the people, dont you mean buryats n irkutsks? i dont really know any mongolians there at all really. there used to be alot of chinese, but nowadays, they have gone back to wherever they came from. and of course, there is lake baikal, which is just a hop, skip and a jump away. in addition to hunting and fishing n the great outdoors. in addition, it is the center of budhism (sp?) in russia, so there is a huge temple there. |
