Violence is not the answer to violence.

WTR forum will not condone any so-called 'tit-fot-tat' in response to the odd attack on a non-Russian in Russia.

You are breaking the law if you do that.

Innocent people, regardless of race, should never be a target for violence or hate.

Thanks for banning Vishnu's loathsome comments. I am ashamed of people like him belonging to my country. It is disdainful to note that people like Vishnu are no better than skinheads. I can guarantee you a true Hindu will never hurt anyone physically, morally or emotionally unless his life is being threatened on all grounds! It is true that political system in India is corrupted and politicians do make use of religion/caste to incite riots. I hope that situation changes too. Personally, I have a lot of friends who love Russian culture and Russians just like me. In fact, ancient Indian language, Sanskrit, shares about 60 to 100 comon words with Russian suggesting some linguistic connection to say the least. I apologize on behalf of Vishnu as a fellow Indian for his immoral thoughts and words.

There is no need to apologize. We know that Vinshu is no better than any skinhead. Stupidity and violence is not something a real patriot or religious person would subject to. Sure the situation in India (or Russia for that matter) may not be at it's best, but it is still no excuse to resort to violence and racist thoughts. My Indian friends here in Moscow enjoy friendships with many Russians. It's not true they are suffering as much as the news (or idiots like Vinshu) say they are. Here at WTR forum we have people of different nationalities (the moderating team consists 2 non-Russians), and we encourage people of all countries to have a better understanding and respect each others' culture.

Indians and Russians have similarities linguistically is because Slavs are the 'purest' Indo-European 'race', this has been suggested as a result of studies of the Slovene language by a university in cambridge (this artice is somewhere in wikipedia), the Russians esepcially have persistance and have not been mixed and absorbed by others.

As you can see, in a simple way, Slavs were peaceful and did not wage wars untill encounters with germanics and some others (for survival ofcourse -_-") up untill then no wars needed to be waged. It has also been suggested that Slovakia and some of its surround nations Poland/Belorussia/Ukraine (the marshes area) are the homeland of the slavs, the Russian settlements is a result of several waves of migration.

And yes Indians are radical, saw a documentary of some people visiting India, and saw how one thing in the news and the whole of India is marching against Islam -_-" and burning American flags...aw cmon!

But I admire how India has kept the hindu thing going...Russia got pwn3d by Shocked

So, the Indian friend I talked about in my previous posting has arrived back from Moscow. He said there was nothing even remotely scary about the city during his 1 month stay. He did not get any stares or racial attacks. He was just with his Russian girlfriend all the time. In fact, when she introduced him to her family, they gave him a warm reception eventhough they were a little hesitant initially(probably they were shy to have a foreigner around continously during dinner ). But, once they started knowing his background, they developed a taste for learning more about him. He felt the city had many artistic monuments. He said the dinners caught on well when his gf's mother became nostalgic about "Rajkapoor" Hindi movies she had watched during the Soviet times and she described how she used to weep after watching them.hahahhaa...
Anyways, that must be quite relieving to those who have their own fears about the city...

It's always struck me that Hindus try hard to please Russians when Russians really couldn't give a shit about them.

Hindus are the same about Iran. They have enough things to say about their Muslim neighbours but when it comes to a country they know they can never emulate or should never irritate, Islam doesn't become a problem all of a sudden.
