I'm sure I don't have to say much here. But who's fault is all of this mess in the world. No Vitalsigns, it's not pot smoking, philipino dominating, hippies who live in dens in the tundra. That dog won't hunt anymore.
Peace Man. |

| I think when people consider themselves morally superior to others, it prevents them from being able to see the good qualities that each of us possess. Reminds me of that old saying "there are none so blind as those who will not see". (or something along those lines) |

| Maybe it's not so much a case of feeling morally superior as feeling right. God knows how disagreements can certainly lead to ill-feeling... |

That's why I try to stay away from arguments that get nasty. Too often I see them just degenerate into exchanges of insults.
(And I'm not accusing anyone around here of doing that.)
I just think that even if we disagree we can still respect each others' opinions and keep the discussions about the merits of the topic, rather than just throwing insults around... |

The recent surge in flames, insults has been a cause for some concern, even those in Not Relevant.
Just because that is the one folder we say we don't moderate or care what you write, it doesn't mean it's a green light to attack each other, post degrading things about each other... the works, you know. It does not make a good impression on others who read the forum.
Sure, we value members who can give some useful information, but there will be no pissing contest about that here. Even if you have nothing useful to offer, you can stay and chat.
All we ask is that you draw some boundaries for yourselves regardless of which folder you want to post in. I hope I needn't tell it to you like children.
It's just common sense and decency, really. You know who you are. |

Hmmm...
Maybe it's not so bad that my internet access has been on the fritz for 3 weeks. |

Is that why we have all the wars, ethnic conflicts, totalitarian regimes that kill their own people, economic problems, hunger, etc.? If we go along with your idea about why we can't all get along, the only thing that's necessary is for people to stop feeling superior to others. I think this explanation - as good as it may sound at your average bail bond agent - is very simplistic and is not even true. The reasons for most conflicts usually have to do with traditions, history, land conflicts and religion. |

Ok, then instead of just ignoring the rudeness, how about saying something, because when you just ignore it it is like saying go ahead and do it, don't you think. There are people here who seem to think that their only purpose is to run around insulting anyone and every one. And yes you know who you are. It is difficult to try and have a conversation when there are those who don't have any respect for others opinions whatsoever. |

I thought your question was more general about this world. Are you asking about this forum? I think we get along just fine here. Considering that we are different people of different cultures from different countries, we are doing great. |

I would say land conflicts would be number one. |

No I was simply responding to Mediasharks comment. Yes, I meant the whole world. |

Again mentioning my job? Superiority has everything to do with it, and you are a prime example of someone who thinks that way. You are an arm chair commando, and I have no respect for people who want to send others into wars on their behalf. Sorry I am for peace, not for racism and ethnic cleansing like you. I suggest you stop your loser comments because from what I understand they will soon not be tolerated on this board. Fun time for you is over MrSpice, now its time for you to rely on what little knowledge you have to get through a debate rather than petty attacks from a man who is well over the hill. |
