If you have an idea about what question you would like to ask, look below and if you don't find it there, post it here (need to register first).

For Russian food go to Mu-Mu eateries -- they are fast food, but very quality (a bit like cantine). You can have a whole meal there with a drink for $7-$10 US. There are a few of them in Moscow - 1 next to Dobryninskaya metro, 1 on Arbat, another next to Frunzenskaya metro.
As for the clothes, it is usually something that's practical, and not very fancy. Girls like to dress in an appealing way, especially when it's warm. |

|

Here is a question for you to ask the people. Would you prefer the Canadian or American style justice system and the prison system that goes with it or would you like to have the work camps (gulags) brought back? Or would you like a combination of a fair trial and the work camps for someone who is convicted of an offence? Here in Canada we no longer have the death penalty while the U.S. have a death penalty in certain states.

Hello I was wondering if anyone in russia has heard anything about the group Taty, or as we call them in the US, t.A.T.u. I am really big fan of both their english and russian songs, and currently studying Russia for a school project. I am also TRYING to learn RUssian, and can understand some basic vocabulary. Back to my question - Will you please let me know about what's going on with the group? I haven't heard anything over here, and as Russia is their native country, there might be something over there! |

| Do Russian people think their country will join the EU in the future like Poland and some of the other former Soviet states? Would they want to? |

Everyone can get a passport at a city where they are registered, but sometimes people live too far away from that area... |

Question (September 15, 2004) I'm a Polishwoman interested in learning Russian.Do you think it will be difficult for me?And how is it that Russians can always understand what we Polish people are saying but we only a word here and there?
What do Russians generally think of the Polish?Do they admit that during the war they were sometimes as horrific to us as the Germans?
What is religion in Russia like? When the communist government banned all organized religion from what,1917 to what,1991 did many people still practise? Are there any Roman Catholics in Russia?
Is it true that Russians are so homophobic?
Generally, Russians are total assholes to strangers and then slowly warm up to them. Why is this?
Do you know any KGB jokes? |

I don't know if it would be hard for you because some people can learn languages easily, and some have to work hard, depends on you..
That's not tru that we can understand polish... i was on some polish chat, i understand several words here and there, but never can understand the whole sentence... and btw... polish looks very funny to me
Many people believe in God, but not so many go to church..
Yes that is true that many men are homophobic
and about 'assholes' as you said... and about everything else in general... i think you cannot think of the whole nation that they all are the same... people are different... |

(As for me, the Czech language looks mad funny.Unfortunatly,my questions did sound a bit stereotypical but we are talking in generalities here. And Russians, at least in my experience, really aren't the friendliest to those they don't know.) |
