| Are there any benefits to traveling, living and working in Russia on a UK passport? I have dual UK-USA citizenship and am weighing the benefits of acquiring a UK passport. Will carrying an EU member state passport make it easier to live and work in Russia? |

Not at the moment, but there are talks now with EU about introducing visa-free travel by 2007, so if your plans in Russia are long-term, maybe it's worth getting a UK passport. But who knows, maybe they'll do it with the USA only.
Anyway, it's always worth to have two passports, so I would recommend you to get the British one.
Also, there might be something in it about paying the taxes, but I don't know what Maybe it's something like double taxation and where you prefer to pay taxes and where it is easier to arrange this. |

| Thanks for the info about taxes. I will have to look further into that. . . Do you think that Russia will ever join the EU? |
