I have a very special Visa problem. This summer im going to study in Moscow at Plekhanov University. There are no problems with my invitation, but unfortunately the student Visa will only be valid sinc 28th of August 04. The point is that I've already planed to enter Russia in the begin of august (transibirean railroad starting from Beijing), I planed to buy a tourist Visa for the trip.
The main problem is that I'm going to arrive in Moscow on the 26th, and there is no time and money to leave Russia, go back to Austria and make my student- Visa for Russia there. Probably the Russian university won't give me a Visa valid sinc early August.
Is there a possibility to get my student's Visa in Moscow?
Maybe at the ministry of interior or foreign affairs?
Are there other possibilities that I don't have to go back to Austria?
If the university would give me an extnded student's Visa, don't I have to register it after 3 days (in Irkutsk9 which would be impossible?

I really hope someone could help me very soon..

I'm sorry, but I couldn't understand your question. You say you have a visa for August and you have another visa starting from 28 August, so I don't see what the problem is...

If your visa starts on 28 August it doesn't mean it will be given to you on 28 August, you can get it earlier in your passport and it will be there along with your tourist visa, of course, if the Russian consulate allows it.

Only Russian consulates give visas, you can't get it anywhere else.
