Hi All,
I am travelling to Russia for a long awaited holiday in November. Is it true I won't be there when it's snowing? I will only be going to Moscow, St Petersburg and Suzdal and wonted to try horse riding in the snowy countryside... |

Ya know, it can snow here any time it wants to.....
One of the biggest snowfalls I've seen here was November 2 or 3 years ago.
Be careful of what you wish for |

Thankyou - maybe just a little might be more practical. I will also be travelling alone - Is this safe? Definitely looking forward to visiting Russia. |

| Russia is a fantastic country and about as safe as it gets providing you use basic common sense. It depends on what region you are going to as far as snow in November goes. The further north the more snow. |

Nice ground for horse-riding won't come round till about early December. Otherwise you'll be running around in mud.
I can assure you in Moscow it's quite safe even for a solo traveller. Just don't venture into poor neighbourhoods (which are probably not interesting to a visitor anyway). |
