Not crying and don't need a fix. For someone who doesn't care about NR, you certainly have a lot to say on the matter.
I just think it would be nice to have a place on the forum which is relatively unmoderated. If such a place is too adult for anyone, just stay away. No big deal. Or let the insults and threats roll off your back. Most of the posts were more humourous than threatening. Certainly they were more interesting than:

Why ? Life is too good and precious to sit down to argue with a bunch of Trolls about sh*t that means nothing me. Only time people think the forum is great is when someone comes in and starts a flame war, then you complain about the person starting to flame you.
Most of the quality participants have got fed up and left, because the content went to crapper and there is little content about Russia. |

How about if you give it up? Your point of view seems to have won. Why can't you brook a little dissent? Does everyone have to agree with you? This is supposed to be feedback. Some of us don't feel a need for a moderator to shield us from all the harsh words (and that's all they are) out there, nor do we need to have someone to protect us from doing dumb things.

For a person who does not put much non relevant stuff, many people PM for advice.
Sorry I have not read this forum for a long time, but you are different and angrier than before. You maybe right that I trolled a couple people, but guess what I quit and left. I am happier person for it. I also apologised to those people like E and we are good friends now. I can also admit that I was wrong to some people also.
You can ahead and insult me as much as you want. I have made my peace with God. Have a good life!!!

Interesting. Angry was exactly what I was going to say about your first post. Remember you are the one calling everyone trolls. Doesn't appear that many quality posters have left from what I've seen in the other threads. If you had stated your opinion a little less angrily ( sans profanity) you would have gotten a completely different response from me. People here are just havin a little fun. I think its great that you've made your peace with God. Perhaps you could ask him about casting stones. Peace to you as well brother. God bless. |

I agree and fully accept this...it is more so up to us to moderate ourselves too. As BCBud has implied there was a lot of unwanted, and unnecessary hate that was going on...and it really did need to cease. I saw Vitals take a lot of heat, I saw Seriy catch a lot of heat, as did myself...but all of us are/were just as guilty. Yes we are all people and probably good people who share the common interest whether native, tourist, or what ever but we share in the experience of Russia. It's easy to lose site of the human factor of who we are and easy to let the rhetoric fly and the abuse take over. And this was what was happening. WTR was receiving a lot of complaints and I was a contributing factor. When I was asked to not post things about my GF I asked to delete all my posts that had any remote mention of her. It was a friend of her's who noticed the chatter referring to her. But at that time all I knew was that she was being harrassed...and yes it was due to me. None of us know who is out there and psycho...we see pyschos on the news everydday so anything is possible. I was just trying to fix a problem and protect someone dear to me. At the same time a lot of hostility was going on...so WTR did something about it. And those of us who were involved-we were all warned! The thing is I was becoming someone that I am not and so have now chose to stay true to my character. So step back and think about yourself...if you are posting hate...is that really who you are? A hateful person? If so then none of us want you here (note I am not directing this towards and one individual) and WTR has any right to run thier site as they see fit. Enjoy WTR...I am and I have found this site and it's serves very useful. And I should be in Russia (freezing) real soon. |

Apparently, our favorite fisherman Yorbcbud is like GW Bush and is throwing God and religion in every sentence. He implies that he, unlike us poor mortals, is a "quality" poster. I can imagine this him sitting in his converted bus, browsing web and typing in his precious observations about life... Let's just hope there are not too many mirrors in that bus... |
