Are these separate processes through different comapnies. For instance if I use way to russia for my visa invitation this cost s us$30 and then registration is done through another partner company, presumably for more money. Is this corrrect? Can anyone confirm this?
When I arrive in Moscow, i go to the partner comany who register the visa, which takes about 3 working days. What if I arrive on Saturday and depart on tWednesday morning. How do i manage this.? |

| It really depends on where you are planning to stay. If you are staying in a hotel, the hotel can register your visa for you. Usually the visa says that you have to register your passport in each city that you visit and tells you to go to OVIR. You do not have to do this if you will be staying in a hotel. There are companies who will register your passport for you but I think they do this if you get a tourist visa that states you are staying in a hotel when you are actually staying with someone that you know. If you are staying with someone it may be easier to go through a private agency just to speed up the process. If you will be in a hotel, just ask them to register your passport for you. |

The visa support and registration are made by the same company.
The registration costs extra money because it involves a lot of procedures with the local OVIR office, which makes it very complicated for foreigners to get registered.
If you stay in a hotel you can register there.
If you arrive on Saturday and leave on Wednesday, that will mean you spend less than 72 hours (working days) in Moscow, so you don't need to register there, according to the law. |
