Looking for a speedy answer to a silly question. I have been in Moscow for two years and have hit all of the traditional Golden Ring must-sees and am intrigued by Uglich: the offering of a Myth & Superstitions Museum; Vodka Museum; a Church or Two; and perhaps even a Sanatorium.
It's Easter Weekend, I'm young (23) and looking to do something fun, possibly Easter-themed (that's not the Music Festival) and there doesn't seem to be anyway to do so in Moscow. Would you go to Uglich (and would you recommend an overnite)? Or would it be better to stay in Moscow? Where would I be able to catch a midnight service? Greg, any suggestions? |

Easter is probably the least vodka infused of all Russian holidays. Really fairly quiet. If you really want stomping, dancing, vodka driven Russian fun, wait till next year and go to Yaroslavl for Maslenitsa. The best Russian holiday ever.
Church service at midnight for Easter at every Orthodox church in the country. Pick one. |

| I would go, though I've never been there. Agree with overseas_expat, not much vodka, but tons of food because it's the end of a long fasting. |
