Hello,
Would a very kind soul please translate the following text for me. I work as a tour guide at the Parliament of Quebec (Canada). I’ll be giving a tour to high ranking civil servants from the Kremlin in a few weeks. The Assembly has asked me to say the introduction speech in Russian (they’ll have an interpreter for the rest). While I speak some Russian and can translate most of this text, I can’t translate all of it and I can’t afford to make any mistakes.
Thank you very much!
On behalf of the President and the Members of Parliament, I would like to welcome you to the National Assembly of Quebec. My name is Jamie and I am honoured to be your guide. During the tour, we will visit the National Assembly Chamber, where our 125 elected representatives make the laws for the Province of Quebec. We will also visit the former Senate Chamber, where nowadays, proposed legislation is studied in detail.
I apologise that I cannot give the entire tour in Russian. I do not speak your language very well. I was given instructions to say the rest in French, but would you prefer English? (I'm assuming that the interpreter speaks both.)
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. You may take pictures (with flash) and film.
Please follow me. |

Так же мы посетим бывший Senate Chamber, где в наши дни предложенный законопроект изучается в деталях( In Russian it does not have any sense. May be you tried to say ……is stadied in detail before……?).
