Independance Day. Celebration of freedom in the US. Hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, apple pie, baseball games. Fireworks everywhere and parties. Everybody puts the flag out on their porches or on the side of their houses. |

As far as I understand, there is a party in Moscow. July 4th is the end of the Olympic bid for 2014. Putin is in Guatemala. It's 119th IOC Session. Sochi is a runner up. |
