| I am riding into Russia this August by motorbike, entering from Finland and heading to Murmansk first. Am I able to continue further north of Murmansk to the sea or is that a restricted military area. Might I get arrested if I try it? Similarly, I might decide to head for Archangel and, again, would like to travel further north of Archangel. Is this possible? And finally, is the Kola Peninsula open for a bit of exploring or might I get arrested there for venturing where I shouldn't go? |

| At least many tourists go fishing in the Rivers of Kola and around, so it cannot be a restricted area. Perhaps you search for someone who organizes fishing tours to get more info. |
