|
|
I'll be arriving on the trans siberian in Novosibirsk but I need to get down to Barnaul. I see that there are 'express' trains twice a day.
Way To Russia says the following:
http://www.waytorussia.net/Siberia/Novosibirsk/Transport.html
"The best option is to take one of the two fast daily trains: either at 12.20 or 20.53 local time. The trip lasts 4 hours. There are at least 5 more trains daily all going in the south direction to Biysk, Alma-Ata, Abakan (stopping in Barnaul on the way). "
Does anyone know how accurate this information is? Do I need to book this train in advance somehow? If so, does anyone know how? I arrive at the Novosibirsk station by way of trans siberian at about 4 pm so I'll have roughly 4 hours advance time. Is that enough to just purchase a ticket at the station? (I'll be there at the end of July).
Thanks for any help!
