Hi guys - I have a question based on the technicality of the 72 hour registration rule:
Situation: I'm arriving in Moscow late on Friday with a tourist visa and staying at a friend's flat. Then on Tuesday we're going by overnight train to St. Petersburg arriving on Wednesday morning - staying in a hotel there - and returning to fly back from Moscow on Sunday.
Question: Because only working days count and Friday is seen as a travel day, this techically means I have until Wednesday to register my visa right?
But do I need to register in Moscow first (as it is my point of entry) or can I wait until I arrive at the hotel in St. Petersburg? Because if I have to register in Moscow as well I will have to stay at a hotel for one night when I should be staying for free with my friend!!
Any insight would be much appreciated!!! |
