Hi,
I was wondering if the words "ждут лета" could mean something other than "await the years"? Thanks! |

no,
"ждут лета" means "they are waiting for the summer" but there's no word "они" ("they") so this sentence is a bit shortened and maybe it was taken from the context which explains who's the subject. |

| 'let' can also translate into 'years' (gen. pl), depending on the context. |

"лет" is not "лета"
"лета" is an old slavic plural form of the word "год", right oficial form is "лет" but this old form also doesn't suit to this context
so... "лета" is "summer" in accusative form |
