I am looking at working in Novosibirsk and am interested on any information about cost of living, appartment rental, or purchasing a car. The guide to Novosibirsk is excellent but I would really appreciate some infor from people on the ground. Thanks so much! |

This is just some general advice about working in Russia. You have to be absolutely sure of the people you are dealing with. Importantly, you need to be %100 sure they will register your visa for you. Lots of times companies promise positions to westerners, which are legit, but then they fall through on the visa registration...which can become a huge hassle to deal with on your own.
About cost of living, I would expect it to be around other similar size Russian cities that I have been to, probably no more than 3000-5000 rubles a month. Food is extremly inexpensive, if you cook and shop at the market, you can gey by on 3000 rubles a month. Going to bars, resturants and clubs can add a lot to this, a few nights out a week can add 1000 rubles a week easy.
