Hi All,
I'm curious to hear from those who have been on the Trans-Siberian line what my odds are on finding someone at one of the stops selling Pelmeni. I LOVE that stuff!!!! I'm quite certain that if I found someone selling Pelmeni and sour cream I would just buy all they had
I imagine my odds are bad at all, but I'm curious.

| I'm pretty sure your dreams will be realised. But a word of warning - before you buy all they have try a few to make sure they are good ones with beef and pork and not the crappy soy type. If buying from supermarket freezers I found Daria Klassichnoji about the best but nowhere near as good as a seller at the markets. But then no one makes them as good as my Grandma did. |

| You might possibly find this at one of the longer stops, but when I travelled from Moscow to Chelyabinsk (two days) it was mostly dried fish for sale and baked goods. At the longest stop I bought some ice cream and some soup packets. Since trains have free hot water, they sell dehydrated things at train stations. But the dried fish is different. Russians are unable to drink beer if they have no dried fish to eat with it. |
