Hi guys
I'm trying to book my tickets for the trans siberian train with stopovers,I plan to leave Moscow at the end of september.I have submitted my train choices with trainline.ru,they sent me back an email saying they will give me a price within 24 hours.I have been waiting now for 4 weeks and still no reply, does this happen a lot?
Any advice on this matter would be of great help.
Many thanks

| Prices aren't available until 45 days from the date of travel. You can get an estimate of your costs by looking at similar iteneraries within 45 days, but not purchasing the tickets. |

Did you book any tickets through these guys? I'm starting to get a bit worried because I would rather have my tickets sorted before I arrive in russia,I don't want to stuck in cities for a few days at a time waiting for my trains.I have emailed the company a few times but never had a reply,It doesn't fill me with much confidence!

I wouldn't worry about booking all your tickets in advance to be honest, certainly not for a journey in autumn. I arrived in summer 2003 with only a Moscow-Yekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk in rail speak) ticket and on that journey the compartment was only half full anyway. If you can pre-book a ticket to escape Moscow then you'll at least be sure of starting when you want to, though you'll pay quite a bit more but you'll save on accom. Upon arriving in a city, if your time is fairly tight then book your onward ticket there and then, if you've more flexibilty then you can just leave it until the day before you want to travel.
Good Luck
