One of the ways to get a vaucher for my visa to Russia is to reserve a room at any Hotel. They will then issue an "Invitation" that I have to send to the Russian Consulate here in USA to get the tourist visa.
How strict is this, for example, suppose I have friends in Moscow, can I stay at their apartment, instead of marching back to my hotel every night? |

| You're making it too complicated. Just get your visa support through a travel agency, this way you won't need to "march" in your hotel every night. |
