hello, my boyfriend and I are planning to take the 3/4 train this summer (from Moscow to Beijing) and we're interested in stopping in Ulaan Bataar (and possibly Irkutsk). We understand that the 3/4 departs weekly (on Tues.) from Moscow which would imply that we'd need to spend a week in Ulaan Bataar (and/or Irkutsk) and catch the next 3/4 train that passed through. Is this assumption correct? If so, does anyone have any recommendations regarding an agency to book the ticket as cheaply as possible? We've heard that many wait to book their train tickets until they get to Moscow, but we'd like to have the tickets in advance since we're travelling during the peak months of summer.
I'm new to this travel forum so I apologize in advance if this is a repeat question but any advice would be greatly appreciated!
-Jessica
ps. does the waytorussia.com website book at a comparatively good price?
