I will be studying at a university in Russia for 4 months, for which I am applying for a student visa. The university has sent an invitation letter to the Russian consulate, but as this is a small university with few foriegn students, they are not able to tell me precisely what I must submit to the consulate.

1. What documents do I need to submit in addition to my payment, passport, photo, and visa application form?

2. Since I will be in Russia for over 3 months, I will submit test results showing that I am HIV negative. May I submit only the original test results (in English), or do I also need to submit a certified Russian translation?

3. I have also heard that I must submit a "general health certificate" from my physician and a copy of my educational record from my current university. Are these necessary, and, if so, must I also have them translated to Russian?

Thanks,

Joel

1. This its better to ask at the consulate, but seems like this is enough

2. I dont think you need HIV results, but the english version should be enough

3. This might be necessary but I dont think you need to translate them
