In just under a week im off to Moscow to start my journey on the trans-Sib/Mongolian Railway to Beijing. I was wondering if there was anyone who would like to give me some advice on what i should look out for, what to do and just general handy hints? Tanks |

make sure and take some wet wipes, and some nice toilet paper for your trip on the trains. If there is any toilet paper on the Train (I've never seen it) it will not be nice and soft.
Make sure and take some comfortable sandles or slippers and clothes to wear on the train. The trains will most likely be really hot.
I always keep some soap, washcloath (usually comes with the sheets you rent on the train), and toothbrush handy so I can give myself a little sponge bath, when travelling on long train rides.
Other than that make sure you buy some bread, Sausage, fruites, or anything that can be cooked in boiling water and take it with you along with something to drink, so you don't starve on the train.( You can always buy more stuff during stops, so don't feel like you need to buy stuff for the enitre trip)
You can get food from the dining car too, but it isn't the best most of the time. |
