Does anyone know if the floating hotel is still afloat or has it gone under? If it's still there then is it OK for a couple of nights? Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Has anyone stayed at Hotel Krasnoyarsk lately?
Many Thanks

Siberiamad,
I could probably get you a Krasnoyarsk based answer within two weeks if you can hang out.....
I know there are three major hotels, Krasnoyarsk, Oktyabrskaya and Tourist. There's one down further away from there but it's 50/50 whether it is still going....

Siberiamad,
The floating hotel/restaurant (one of them anyway) behinf the Torgovi Centre on Krasnoyarsky Rabochy is still going and afloat. Squat toilets and the boat itself is old but I guess servicable.
There is a hotel (Vladivostok I think) further along Kras Rab between the Torgovi Centre and Russki Troika supermarket and my wife says this is still going as well. Apparently there are about 3 floating hotels....all downmarket from the "Big Three" I mentioned already.
The Tourist is across the river from Hotel Krasnoyarsk and the main drag (directly opposite) is Kras Rab. Torgovi Centre is about 2-3 klms further up.
Try and PM a guy called SibTourGuide....he is either here or on The Thorntree and he's Krasnoyarsk based as well.
Enjoy

Thanks for that, I've been in contact with Anatoliy (SibTourGuide) regarding a couple of things. I might be able to stay with a friend in Krasnoyarsk.
