We have a party of 5 travelling from Moscow to St Petersburg in November.
We would like to travel on the train #28 at 21.30 from Oktyabrsky station.
Is it possible to book 3 1st class carriages on his train, so that we will be able to travel together?
Can I do this by just booking 6 tickets, between the 5 of us?
I would be grateful for your advice about this.

| I partied on a russian train once... but it was like first class, so we had our own compartment,,, and there was just 3 of us... but it was a decent party all the same. |

oh yeah, to answer matt's question...
I believe that even if you do buy 6 tickets=3 1st class compartments, if the 6th place (or bed should I say) is not occupied, it might be given to someone else. Kinda like if you buy an airplane ticket but don't show up, your seat might be given away....
But then again, I dont know for sure... and any problem can be solved in Russia with the help of our little friend - the mighty ruble. |

| I have bought the complete 4-berth 2nd-class compartment for 2 person when 1st class was not available on the train - no problems. |
