Hello everybody,

I am new in this forum and trying to book a trans-siberian ticket for next month. I think I have selected the train (October 7th) but i have a problem: clicking on the link Timetables I see that the train #002 "Rossiya" (Moscow - Vladivostok) takes 6 d 5 h 19 mins, but if I make a search to actually book for that day (following the procedure Route Planner and so on) I get as result of the search the very same train #002, but this time it takes 5d 4h 47min.

What is more updated?

Sorry if the question sounds redundant - but I'll be going to work over there (Tokyo) ;-)

nice day to everybody

Okay, so you're really taking the train as a mode of transport? Not as a touristic trip? It seems an awful long way to travel at once, without stopovers...

Yes I am!

I actually very much like the idea of using it as a journey and not just for fun. It's the real traveling, isn't it: going somewhere.

And to be honest I really need it, to get a feeling of how ****ing far I am going to work and spend the next months of my life. If you fly everything looks so close.. :-)
