I read online that I need to have an onward ticket indicating when I will be leaving Russia. What if I don't have it? I planned on getting a ticket once I arrived in St. Petersburg because I don't know how long my trip will take. Will this be a problem?

This seems to depend on your nationality. I have never been asked to show a ticket out of Russia but on my last trip I came via Vietnam and noticed that every Vietnamese citizen had to show their return ticket at the immigration point in Domodedevo.

I'm a Canadian citizen but I have been living in S. Korea for almost 2 years. Will that be ok?

I can't tell you if it will be OK in your case or not. I was just letting you know what was going on while I was in that long line. Personally I always have a return ticket and if plans change I contact the airline and change the date.
